Guidelines for the assessment and management of leg ulceration

AbstractThe guidelines are designed to give a structure to the assessment and management of patients with leg ulceration. They will help the practitioner in the classification of the ulcer and the formulation and implementation of an appropriate care pathway. The guidelines are not intended as a rigid or inflexible tool, but as an aid to practitioners in choosing appropriate care and management, and to reducing variation in practice.
